Our Story
Dani Care Inc was founded with a clear mission: to build lasting relationships with individuals, families, and communities, while improving the quality of life for those we serve through extraordinary service and compassionate care.
As a family-based organization, Dani Care was established by Daniel Zewelde, BSN RN and Co-Founder, and Selam Assefa, Respiratory Therapist and Co-Founder. Together, they bring professional expertise and personal commitment to ensuring that care is delivered with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Their shared vision was born from firsthand experiences with the challenges of finding quality residential care. By combining Daniel's nursing background and Selam's medical expertise in respiratory therapy, they built a care model that is clinically strong and deeply person-centered, treating every individual as if they were part of their own family.
Today, Dani Care Inc offers two specialized programs under one organization: our Group Home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Dani Care: Willowbrook RTH, a Residential Treatment Home serving adults with mental health and behavioral health needs. Both programs reflect the same founding values, professional standards, and dedication to empowering every resident to live with dignity and purpose.

At Dani Care Inc, our clients will engage in social interactions as they get support with personal care, medications, health related activities, money management, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments, etc., in order to enhance their ability, regardless of age or income, to participate as fully as possible in all aspects of living. Our clients will remain a vital part of the community.
Dani Care Inc, its President/Director Daniel Zewelde and employees will know and follow the laws and rules as put into place by the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR's). At Dani Care Inc, we strive to go above and beyond the requirements of the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) by providing a person centered service to enrich lives for each individual we serve.

Our Leadership
Daniel Zewelde, BSN RN
Daniel also serves as President/Director & Co-Founder of Dani Care Inc, overseeing the organization's Group Home and residential programs.
Daniel Zewelde, BSN RN and Co-Founder, leads Dani Care Inc with over a decade of combined nursing and residential care management experience, including backgrounds at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center and Vibra Specialty Hospital.
As Program Administrator for Dani Care: Willowbrook RTH, Daniel provides clinical and operational leadership for our Residential Treatment Home serving adults with mental health and behavioral health challenges. His title and responsibilities for Willowbrook RTH reflect the specialized nature of that program, distinct from our Developmental Disability (DD) Group Home services.
Since 2017, Daniel has also operated licensed group homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) and delivering person-centered care. His leadership combines clinical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and compassion to uphold the highest standards of independence, dignity, and quality of life across all Dani Care programs.
